Masonite Johnson Door Brown Fin Snap In Sweep

I had called in an order and requested a door sweep. The man from our local lumber yard found a sweep that should fit and gave me the number from the DIY Doorstore and the telephone number to call. When given the order number it was suggested another number would work better. However it did not fit. It was for a 1 1/2 inch door. I needed a 1 3/4 door sweep and ordered the number MPDBFSS-3511/16 sweep and it was the correct one and it fit perfectly. The previous number started with MJDBRFSS. I was very pleased that the correct one was sent and the salesman was very helpful. Thanks

after removing old sweep, it was impossible to find at any local hardware store, tried them all large to small. After 2 days searching internet I ran across your add. It looked like the one I needed but what sealed the deal was the DIY video you had on your site. When viewing the video I saw the bottom of the door and was exactly like my door, so was pretty confident that this would be the exact door sweep I needed. Also as the person stated that this was the only door company that used this particular type of snap in sweep. So this was very hard to find and was a perfect fit for my door. Very happy found you after hours of searching.

YES!!! Searched high and low online for this replacement part and could not find anywhere but here. Have a Johnson door and this fits perfect! Space between barbs is 1.25 , fits door width of 1.75. Took hours to find and once this part arrived, it fit perfectly and was easy to install - didn't even have to take the door off the hinges.

I bought several of the kerf style threshold sweeps at Lowe’s and none worked for the doors in my home. I was very frustrated in repeatedly buying products that did not fit my doors. I got online searching and found DIY door store. I took a chance on these and when I first receive them they were so hard to snap in with the door in place that I thought, “these too won’t work.” But I realized it takes a certain amount of force to snap these in place, and much easier to do so by removing the door and using a rubber mallet to help secure them. Once they are secured they are on there to stay. It’s a really good product and a fair price, and just so happened to be the right replacement for our steel entry doors.

The hardest part about finding the right door sweep was figuring out the manufacturer of this door that I had installed 20 years ago. I went to a door store and they told me to look on the hinges. That didn't work. Fortunately the son of the man that installed it took over the company and did a job at my neightbor's house. He said they used Masonite doors. Once I knew that, it became very easy to look at the picture and the dimensions...yep that's the right one! They even had multiple lengths so I didn't have to cut it down. The only color available is brown and my door was white. I thought my wife would not like it, but she hasn't noticed. Took about 15 minutes to snap it in without removing the door. Overall I am very happy.

I was pleased to know DIY offered the exact sweep that came with my door. The fit was perfect and was easy to install. I will definitely be shopping here again.

After a number of friendly and helpful email exchanges I received the correct sweep and it snapped right in perfectly. Took me 3 minutes to install it! Thanks!

I was told by the Experts at your company that the sweep that came with my original door had been replaced by a new more efficient one. They were right! Glad that I found this company. !!!

Product was exactly as described and matched perfectly for the door we have. Went on as it was supposed to and works great.

This snap in weatherstrip worked perfectly for my door. Sue to the weight of my door, I found it best to lay the door flat to install the new strip. It helped to place tape on the strip as I I snapped it in to keep the strip from popping out. It takes longer to remove/reinstall the door than it takes to install the strip. I was glad to be able to find a replacement strip for a 20+ year old door.

My exterior door is metal with a wood core and is over 20 years old. The manufacturer appears to be Guardian and the Kerf spacing was 1.125 inches, which is not typical. Keegan from DIY Door Store support was very helpful and recommended the Masonite snap in sweep after viewing photos of my current door sweep. The Masonite was a perfect fit and I was able to replace the old sweep without removing the door from the frame. I couldn't be happier!

I ordered this particular sweep for my 3 entry doors. these sweeps fit the oddball doors needing 1 1/4" between the two kerfs as opposed to the typical 3/4" They snapped right in and have remained in place close to two weeks now. I didn't realize one of my doors was smaller going out to the garage so I needed to trim 3" or so off. Trims easily with hack saw for one and basically easy-peasey. I could not be more pleased - might not be a bad idea to order an extra set for the future seeing how hard this item is to find.

The product was very well made and the order went smooth ,fast shipping, It fit like it should!! The only drawback was that I could not get the beige color that I wanted so I went with brown. If you get any beige sweeps in please drop me a e-mail
