RSL Universal 22 x 36 - Vented Glass and Frame

I ordered this window after having a couple of conversations with the good folks at DIY. I was concerned that the window may have issues fitting my older Stanley door, as the opening measurements were a 1/4 of an inch larger than what the window calls for. After I was assured there would be no problem making a return if necessary I ordered the window. It arrived in a timely manner, despite having to travel across the country. I prepared the door by adding some 1/4 inch lattice strips and the window fits like a glove. The best part that not only does it look like it was made for the door, it seals better than the old Stanley window (the one with the center pull latch, If you're a Stanley door owner. I cannot recommend this window or this company enough. But like the other poster points out, measuring your opening and getting as close to the required opening measurements is a must. 10052y

Layout and preparation of door is the critical part of the job - once the hole was cut, installation of the vented window was a breeze - no pun intended

This was a replacement for a fixed glass window in a door. Wanted the ventilation a window/screen combination would provide. Item was excellently packed, and arrived in perfect shape. Because this was a replacement, there was concern about the fit, because it is never certain about the existing hole in the door. This fit perfectly, was easy to install, and the sliding window for ventilation works perfectly. I am completely 100% satisfied with this purchase. item

Five on the product itself. 5 on the general idea on safe shipping. However, the Styrofoam packing stuck to the 'sealer' around the outer edge of the window, rendering it not sticky. But the installation went great. Just need to tweak the packaging.

I have bought several of this Inserts to replace door windows that could not be opened. They have worked out great. now I have better airflow in the tackroom and garage. Very simple to install, had no problems.

Perfect fit. Double set of Therma-Tru doors in basement. Wanted to be able to air out area and this window allows that. No trouble install and unlike previous one I bought, the screen section, fits perfectly in frame. I like having the ability to swap out glass panels in doors. Have replaced larger openings with "stained glass" panels. Not a hard do-it-yourself. 2 people easier but can be done alone as well.

This is reasonable quality for the price. It is far superior to the old aluminum ones. The sliding window is a little sticky but I think some teflon or silicone spray will fix that. I know it is designed to be a replacement window, but I installed this in an older 5 panel door but the size of window was just right to fit by removing two panels and a rail with some minor modifications. If you have reasonable skills as a carpenter it is not too difficult of a job. The thing I failed to realize when I bought it is that is for 1 3/4" door and some older exterior doors are only 1 3/8" like mine. I just added furring strips on the exterior and painted to match and it came out fine. I gave it four stars because of the stickiness of the slide and overall quality. I would buy it again.
