Taylor Door Beige Bulb Door Sweep 36"

Hello, The beige, bulb, 36-inch, sweep for the bottom of the Taylor Door arrived promptly after ordering. I removed the old door sweep by using a cutting knife to disengage old paint on the sweep, slid the old sweep out, verified that the new sweep was the same as the old sweep, applied dishwashing soap on the groves, then slid the sweep onto the bottom of the door with a few final taps with a block of wood and a light weight hammer. The threshold was screwed down slightly to allow the door to close perfectly. The removal and installation took less than an hour. DIY personnel were very helpful with the identification of the 30-year old Taylor Door and sweep. Thank you.

I highly suggest using this item. It fits perfectly with no need for trying to make a sweep from the local store work. Just buy it, slide the old sweep off, and slide the new one on. I did have and issue trying to close the door with the new sweep because it was too tight even after I lowered the threshold all the way. Fortunately, I have a Taylor door so I simply loosened the hinge screws on the door and raised the door slightly to create a perfect seal. That is a great feature on the Taylor doors.

This item was hard to find locally in our area. We are pleased with this door sweep & find it is better than the door sweep that was originally installed, when the door was new. This sweep looks like and fits like the original. All I had to do was cut it to length, remove the door so as to drive off the old one which was stuck due to 36 years of floor wax and grit, apply some silicone spray lube and shove the new one on. No more drafts!
