TAYLOR DOOR WEATHER-STRIPPING
Taylor Door Weather Stripping — Kerf Seals for Taylor Steel Entry Doors
Worn weather stripping on a Taylor door shows up three ways: a draft along the lock side, daylight at the top corners, or a foam strip that's flattened and won't spring back. The fix is a kerf-style compression seal that presses into the slot in the door frame. No screws, no adhesive. Every seal on this page is a kerf profile that fits Taylor entry doors made by Taylor Door Co. — pick the length, reach, and color and it goes in with your hands.
Two numbers decide the part. Length: 81" or 82" pieces for a standard 6'8" door, 96" or 97" for an 8' door. Reach: how far the foam has to travel to meet the door — medium (about 1/2") is the usual replacement; long (5/8"–3/4") closes a wider gap on a door that has settled or been re-hung. Not sure which you have? Pull the old strip out and measure it. The guide below walks through it.
