That was unexpected- check what you need

Ordered two of these on same part number, they were not alike. While the screws lined up for the sill plate holes, Cap 1 extended 3 past the right screw- Cap 2 4 past the right screw. On the other end: Cap 1 extended 4 past the left screw - Cap 2 is 3 past the left screw. Perhaps a difference between left/right hinged door and inswing/outswing. Perhaps I missed that in ordering.....luckily these can be cut for my needs. Check what you need, ask questions to be sure you will get what you are expecting.

Exactly what I was looking for.

Great replacement to the original wood sills, highly recommend this product, bonus is dark wood to match the doors that are painted black.

Product was quality. Looks just like the original. Holes and screws lined up perfectly after I cut it. The piece arrived a few inches bigger than the 3 feet required. But once it was cut it was perfect.

My older Therma Tru is no longer supported but I was able to redneck this piece to fit. Kudos to the DIY staff who guided me to this alternate fix. It works!

Great Quality Products

I chose the hardwood, even with an additional cost, because it is unlikely to break/crack like my old adjustable sill cap. The size only had to be altered slightly, was easy to install because they are made to precision. They are costly, however, they are very hard to find anywhere---this is the ONLY place I could find them and was told locally they do not make them anymore.

Perfect Fit!

The sill cap on our front door started to rot and needed replacing. I was searching for an exact replacement (another wood one) and came upon this composite one during my search, and it definitely made a lot more sense.. Install was pretty easy and it looks perfect. So glad I found this, as well as this website (shipping was fast).

I only really needed the weather stripping on this still, but replaced the whole thing anyway. Needle to cut both ends so the screws would Line up. Overall very easy, took about 10 minutes. The k you!

I replaced the old one that had failed after many years, the screws were up above the wood and had ripped the sweep. The new one needed to be cut on both ends to match the old one, but it was then easy to screw it into the existing channel. It now looks like the day it got installed.
