Replaced a well worn, cracked 9 lite style frame and glass. Install is simple. Glass/lite kit comes with weatherstrip attached to the exterior frame side. We applied a thin layer of caulk in addition to the attached weatherstrip, probably didn't need to but we did it anyway for added protection. Looks great.

I had a front door (probably from Lowes or HomeDepot from years ago) with a glass insert in which the seal between the inner glass and outer glass was compromised. There was a cloudy film inside the door glass and you couldn't see through it. I ordered this Universal 22x36 insert to replace it. Shipping was very fast and replacement -- from start to finish -- took about 15 minutes. My crappy old door looks fabulous now. The only thing I would have done differently is I would have allotted myself enough time to take the old glass out, wash and paint the door, and THEN put the new insert in. It looks great from the street, I can actually see through it, and I get SO much more light in the entryway now. Thank you, DIYDoorstore.

Perfect!

Our back door is a steel 6 panel door. It's a good sturdy door but I wanted a window to admit light to the entry room. I received my 22x36 window (lite and frame)at noon yesterday and by 2:30 PM it was installed. It was not difficult to install - anyone with any DIY/Home Repair/Handyman experience can do it. It took me about 2.5 hours but now that I've one it once I could do it again in an hour. The window comes in two pieces, and exterior frame with a weatherproof gasket and lite (thermopane glass) attached and an interior frame. Just carefully cut the correct sized opening in the door, insert the exterior frame/lite into the opening and place the interior frame on the interior side of the opening. Connect the two together with the provided screws which draws the the interior and exterior frames together and tightens the exterior seal. Easy peasy!

Relatively easy project, with door off hinges. Got rid of old, cracked, yellowed frame. No sealant necessary. Outer frame comes sealed to glass, with foam gasket to door frame.

Nice product

I bought this window to upgrade from a single pane operable window to a double pane non-op window and could not be happier. Our original thought was to replace the doors at a cost of about $800 each and with these windows I achieved the same goal for only $120 each door. I was hesitant about ordering windows from 2,000 miles away but they arrived in great shape, very well packaged. since the new windows were a little larger than my window openings, it was very easy to enlarge the openings in the wood door and the new windows fit in very nicely. The upgrade effort took less that 1.5 hours and we are very pleased with the results.

I ordered this window to install in a 6 panel garage entry door. Cutting out the opening in the metal door was no problem at all it basically took the exact dimensions of the middle to top panel’s dimensions. We are extremely happy with this purchase which was amazingly affordable (much better than installing a new door for hundreds more). Shipping was unbelievably fast I think it arrived 4 days after ordering it. If you are considering purchasing this item don’t hesitate you won’t be disappointed!
