Must have for stainable thermatru doors!
I ordered a stainable unfinished fiberglass door from thermatru thinking I could stain it whatever tint I wanted with a gel stain. Did a bunch of research, found out you couldn’t tint the gel stains. Also the gel stains don’t really work well on these doors. This stain kit is a must have, luckily found the color we needed. It went on just like stain. It seemed to be a mixture in between regular stain and gel stain. The door finished nice. Just watched the thermatru videos and followed all the tips.

Great product! I’ve stained hundreds of doors in the 15 years that I did for a living, and was the only system that was used. You can also mix stains to come up with a custom color.
